Marselino Ferdinan Not Called by the Indonesian National Team for FIFA Matchday, Director of PSSI Reveals Reasons
SUARA SEMARANG – Marselino Ferdinan will certainly not strengthen the Indonesian National Team in the FIFA Matchday against Burundi.
PSSI Technical Director Indra Sjafri admitted that his party had deliberately not summoned Marselino Ferdinan.
The reason PSSI did not call Marselino Ferdinan was because the KMSK Deinze player was being prepared for the upcoming U-20 World Cup.
It is known that the Indonesian national team will face Burundi on March 25 and 28 2023 at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi.

The coach of the Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong, in the last few matches of the Indonesian National Team, always called Marselino Ferdinan, but not this time.
“Yes, we are considering it, so that later the focus will be on the 2023 U-20 World Cup,” said Indra Sjafri when met at field B Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (16/3/2023) quoted from suara.com.
This is also in line with what Shin Tae-yong has said that Marselino Ferdinand will only be called up to the national team in April 2023.
Marselino Ferdinan was called up by the national team but his club did not release the player to the national team.
“Marselino will not go to Uzbekistan (2023 U-20 Asian Cup),” Shin Tae-yong said some time ago to the media crew.
