PARIS – Paris Saint Germain (PSG) stumbled at home to Rennes in the 2022-2023 League 1 continued match. Competing at the Parc des Princes, Monday (20/3/2023) in the morning WIB, Christophe Galtier’s team lost with a score of 0-2.

Acting as the host, PSG immediately took the initiative to launch an attack. Noted, there are four opportunities created.

Three of them threatened the Rennes goal. But there was no goal that was able to thrill the visitors’ goal. While the visitors are more effective in front of goal.

The reason is, the only opportunity created successfully resulted in a goal. It was Benjamin Bourigeaud, who successfully opened the visitors’ tap with his right foot after taking advantage of Karl Toko Ekambi’s pass in the final minutes of the first half.

After leaving the locker room, PSG was again surprised by a quick goal scored by Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga in the 48th minute after taking advantage of Lesley Ugochukwu’s pass. Behind 0-2, the hosts tried to catch up.

But every opportunity created failed to produce a goal. Until the long whistle sounded the score 0-2 for Rennes’ victory did not change.

This defeat did not change PSG’s position at the top of the French League standings. They are still in first place with a value of 66 points. Rennes is in fifth place with 50 points.
