BIRMINGHAM – Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan have successfully stepped into the All England 2023 final. This has made Indonesia continue its hegemony which has always won at least one title in this event for the last eight years.
The All Indonesian Final took place in the men’s doubles at the BWF World Tour Super 1000 level badminton tournament. The civil war will take place at Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England, Sunday (19/3/2023).
Thus, the Red and White team technically continues to bring home at least one title from the oldest badminton tournament in the world since 2016.
The civil war broke out after Fajar/Rian and Ahsan/Hendra won in the semifinals.
Fajri – the nickname Fajar / Rian – beat the Chinese envoy, He Ji Ting / Zhou Hao Dong 21-19 and 21-17.
Meanwhile, The Daddies-nickname Ahsan/Hendra got rid of another Chinese duet, Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang with a score of 21-15, 19-21 and 29-27.
This makes it certain that the anthem Indonesia Raya will resound at the All England 2023. And, this also continues the hegemony.
It is certain that Indonesia has always brought home one title from the All England since 2016. The 2021 edition does not count because the Indonesian representative was forced to resign.
This is just because you are on the same plane with a person who has been exposed to Covid-19. In fact, at that time there were several Indonesian players who had appeared and advanced to the round of 16.
In 2016, mixed doubles, Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto emerged as champions. Praveen returned to his first podium four years later with his new partner, Melati Daeva Oktavianti.
