SLEMAN – PSS Sleman defeated Borneo FC with a score of 2-1 in the 2022/2023 League 1 match which was held at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman on Saturday (18/3/2023). This result has made Pesut Etam (Borneo FC) stuck in fourth place in the League 1 standings.

The match started with PSS Sleman pressing the visitors from the start of the first half with several threats down the flanks. In the 10th minute, Rivaldo Ferre almost scored with a free kick, but it went just wide over the bar.

Borneo FC started to rise in the middle of the first half and took control of the game. However, their attempts to score were unsuccessful and the score remained 0-0 until the first half ended.

In the second half, Borneo FC remained in control and continued to pressure PSS Sleman. However, in the 55th minute, PSS Sleman managed to score through Ricky Cawor’s free kick, before Matheus Pato equalized five minutes later.

However, ten minutes before the end of the game, substitute PSS, Irkham Mila, scored a goal and brought PSS Sleman to win the match with a score of 2-1.

Even though Borneo FC continued to attack until the end of the match, they failed to score a goal and had to accept defeat. This result has stopped Borneo FC in fourth place in the 2022/2023 Liga 1 standings.
