UDINE – Zlatan Ibrahimovic made history as the oldest player ever to score a goal in Serie A. Ibra was 41 years and 166 days old when he scored a penalty. However, that did not help Milan avoid defeat 1-3 at the Dacia Arena, Udine, Sunday (19/3/2023) early morning WIB.

Ibra broke the record for the oldest player previously held by Alessandro ‘Billy’ Costacurta. Uniquely, the record was also set by Costacurta when Milan faced Udinese. At that time Costacurta was 41 years and 25 days old.

Costacurta also represented Milan in the game against Udinese. Milan lost 2-3 at home to San Siro on 19 May 2007, and he also converted a penalty that day.

Against Udinese, Ibrahimovic’s shot was initially saved by keeper Marco Silvestri’s finger tips, but had to be replayed due to movement from Beto. With his second kick, the Swede hit the ball against the roof of the net to make history.

However, Ibra’s history was tarnished by the defeat of Milan 1-3. In fact, Udinese only had 10 players after Andrea Sottil was sent off in the 45+3 minute for insulting the referee.

In the ninth minute, Roberto Pereyra, Beto (45+6) and Kingsley Ehizibue (70′) scored Udinese’s goals. Ibra’s only goal packed by Milan.

This result did not shake Milan in 4th place in the standings with 48 points. Meanwhile, Udinese is on the 8th floor with 38 points.
