YOGYAKARTA – The Bandung bjb Tandamata women’s volleyball team successfully defended their Proliga title. The club made by Alim Suseno won this season after defeating Jakarta Pertamina Fastron 3-2 in the 2023 Proliga Grand Final at Amongrogo Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, Saturday (18/3/2023).

Bandung bjb worked hard against Jakarta Pertamina Fastron’s resistance in five sets, and finally won with a score of 27-25, 25-22, 25-26, 20-25, and 15-8.

Jakarta Pertamina Fastron started the first set with fierce resistance. Eko Waluyo’s squad had left the defending champions and won 13-8.

Bandung bjb got up after falling behind by five points. Yolla Yuliana cs reduced the gap to 13-15 and made a comeback from 17-23 to lead in the first set with a final score of 27-25. Back to back aces from Tiara Sanger were the key to Bandung bjb’s victory in the first set.

Bandung bjb won 25-22 in the second set. Madeline Guillen became the last point scorer in the set. Meanwhile, in the third set, Pertamina Fastron played better and was able to take control. After winning far enough, they conceded, but eventually won 26-25.

In the deciding set, Pertamina Fastron managed to win 25-0 in the fourth set. Until the last set, Pertamina Fastron had started well and excelled in the first points. However, Bandung bjb showed his winning mentality and ended the fight with a 15-8 victory.
