Indonesia Wins 4 Awards at the Japan Tourism Film Festival
Indonesia won four main awards at the 5th Japan World’s Tourism Film Festival (JWTFF) which was held in Kyoto, Japan.
The tourism film “Jiwa Jagad Jawi” sent by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries won three awards, namely the Gold Prize Tourism Destination Country, Asian Competition, and the highest award International Grand Prix. One other film that was also submitted, namely “Authentic It Takes Time,” won the Silver Prize for Tourism Products.
When receiving the four awards at the Izukanda Shrine on the shores of Lake Biwa, Kyoto, the Indonesian Consul General in Osaka Diana Emilia Sari Sutikno said this award was an important momentum for the revival of Indonesian tourism.
“In the last three years, the government and people of Indonesia have done a lot to welcome tourists to Indonesia again,” he said while inviting all festival participants and attendees to come to Indonesia.
There were 1,286 tourism films from 105 countries and various regions participating in the competition organized by JWTFF in collaboration with Wakayama University and the International Committee of Tourism Film Festival CIFFT. This Tourism Film Festival is divided into three main categories namely: Japan Competition, International Competition and Grand Prix.
With the victory of the two tourism films, especially “Jiwa Jagad Jawi” which won the highest International Grand Prix award, they will be entitled to take part in various other festivals under the CIFFT network this year. [em/es]
