JEDDAH – The Red Bull duo mastered the results of free practice 1 (FP1) Formula 1 (F1) GP Saudi Arabia 2023. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez occupy the fastest 1-2 positions at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Friday (17/3/2023) evening WIB.
Verstappen recorded his best time at 1 minute 29.617 seconds. Perez was behind him by just 0.483 seconds. The Mexican racer almost beat Verstappen’s time if he did not go wide at the corner on his last lap.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin racer Fernando Alonso again showed his speed in FP1 in Saudi Arabia. The two-time F1 world champion is in third place with a time difference of 0.698 seconds from Verstappen.

The Mercedes duo, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished fifth and sixth. They were each 1.1 seconds behind Verstappen. Meanwhile, the Ferrari Team has yet to show its skills in FP1 in Saudi Arabia.
Carlos Sainz only sits in seventh place with a difference of 1.307 seconds from Verstappen, while Charles Leclerc is scattered in 11th place with a distance of 1.501 seconds.
