CIBINONG – Persib Bandung failed to suppress PSM Makassar’s position in the 2022-2023 League 1 standings after being defeated by Persik Kediri with a score of 0-2 at Pakansari Stadium, Wednesday (8/3/2023). This result left Luis Milla’s troops stuck in second place.
In the continued match of League 1 this season, Persib appeared without goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam. His position was replaced by Reky Rahayu.
Acting as the host, Persib received fierce resistance from Persik. Even the match took place a little hot and the referee was forced to issue seven yellow cards.
Even so, Persik, who was trying to get out of the relegation zone, actually managed to score the opening goal. Hamra scored a goal for the White Tigers in the 35th minute with a header from a corner kick.
The 0-1 score for Persik’s advantage did not change until the first interval was over. In the second half, Persib tried to catch up.
But every effort made always failed to produce a goal. Instead, Persik was actually able to break into Reky’s goal for the second time.
This time it was Mohammad Khanafi’s turn to get his name on the scoreboard in the 89th minute. Until the long whistle sounded the score was 2-0 for Persik’s victory.
These positive results lifted the position of Persik from the relegation zone. Currently, the White Tigers are in 15th position with a value of 29 points or one point ahead of the residents of the red zone PSS Sleman.
While Persib stagnated in second place with a value of 52 points. Luis Milla’s troops are 10 points behind PSM as the leaders of the League 1 standings.
