SEMARANG – Madura United Media Officer, Ferdiansyah said Ricki Ariansyah was conscious and able to speak. He explained that currently the club asked the hospital’s medical team to do a CT scan and X-rays to find out the midfielder’s condition.

Madura United managed to win 2-0 over PSIS Semarang in the 2022/2023 League 1 continuation match. The match took place at the Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, Central Java on Tuesday (7/3/2023) afternoon WIB.

Two goals from Laskar Sape Kerrab were scored by Beto Goncalves (13′) and Ricki Ariansyah (90+2′). However, after scoring the goal, Ricki Ariansyah was unconscious after being hit by a kick from a PSIS Semarang player.

The medical team immediately acted quickly and took Ricki Ariansyah to the hospital. The 25-year-old midfielder’s life was still saved and has regained consciousness.

Ferdiansyah said Ricki Ariansyah was conscious and able to speak, but the doctor was still conducting further examinations. Even though he was conscious, Madura United did a CT scan and X-rays to see Ricki Ariansyah’s condition and no serious injuries were experienced by his players.

“Thank God, I’m awake and have spoken. But I’m still under further observation by the doctor. A CT scan and X-rays are being carried out. Please continue praying,” said Ferdiansyah via short message to SINDOnews, Tuesday (7/3/2023).
