SEMARANG – Madura United midfielder, Ricki Ariansyah fell unconscious and had to receive serious treatment at the end of the match against PSIS Semarang in the 2022/2023 League 1 continued match. The reason is, he received a hard blow to the head so that he was unconscious.

Competing at the Jatidiri Stadium, Tuesday (7/3/2023) afternoon WIB, Madura United managed to win 2-0 over PSIS Semarang. Two goals from Laskar Sape Kerrab – Madura United’s nickname – were scored by Alberto Goncalves (13′) and Ricky Ariansyah (90 + 2′).

However, Madura United’s victory had to be tinged with a tense atmosphere, after Ricki Ariansyah lost consciousness after scoring a goal. The 25-year-old midfielder was unconscious after being hit by the foot of a PSIS Semarang player who was trying to sweep the ball.

Seeing Ricki Ariansyah’s unconscious condition, the Madura United and PSIS Semarang players reacted to save him. The Madura United medical team immediately rushed into the field assisted by a medical team from PSIS Semarang.

After getting help from the media team, Ricki Ariansyah was immediately rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, Madura United President Achsanul Qosasi said Ricki Ariansyah’s life was still saved and thanked Physiotherapist Marcelo Araujo.

“Thank you, O Allah. Thank you Marcello. You have done the best for Ricky Ariansyah. 12 precious minutes and made us all worry,” wrote Achsanul Qosasi as quoted from his personal Twitter, Tuesday (7/3/2023).

Ricki Ariansyah is a player who was born in Medan, June 10, 1997. Before joining Madura United, he had studied at PSMS Medan Junior in 2016.

Meanwhile, in 2017, Ricki Ariansyah joined a Liga 2 club, namely Pro Duta and stayed for one season. The player who plays as a midfielder also decided to join PSCS Cilacap which is a promotion team from League 3.

After appearing with PSCS Cilacap, Ricki Ariansyah decided to join Perserang Serang in 2019 and only appeared in four matches. The lack of playing minutes made him decide to return to PSCS Cilacap the following season.

Ricki Ariansyah also left the team from Central Java again and joined Persijap Jepara in 2021. He made nine appearances and scored four goals.

His slick appearance with Persijap Jepara attracted Persita Tangerang and recruited him in December 2021. Together with the Cisadane Warrior -Persita Tangerang’s nickname, Ricki Ariansyah appeared in 17 matches scoring one goal.

Ricki Ariansyah did not even last against Persita Tangerang. He decided to join Madura United for League 1 2022/2023 and has appeared in 19 matches scoring one goal in all competitions.
