JAKARTA – It is certain that the Indonesian badminton team will not send their representatives to the China Masters 2023 Super 100 on March 14-19 2023. This decision was made as conveyed by PBSI Head of Development and Achievement Division (Kabid Binpres), Rionny Mainaky.

Rionny explained the reason why Indonesian players withdrew from the 2023 China Masters. He said that all players had visa problems to appear at the event.

“Oh yeah (officially withdrawing). The visa has indeed not been issued from there. Because of that (there was a visa problem). So we have tried to go through the embassy, but there has been no answer, so we all withdrew,” said Rionny, Wednesday (7 /3/2023).

Instead, several players who were absent from the China Masters will appear at the Osaka International Challenge (29 March-2 April 2023). Including several players who are currently taking part in the Thailand International Challenge 2023

“Because now there are problems with visa processing, some don’t get tournaments, some take part in Thailand. We’ll transfer to Osaka, but some will take part in Thailand too. Those who don’t take part in Thailand and China, there’s more time, we’ll go to Osaka. So no many went to Osaka. Only six or seven people,” added Rionny.
