JAKARTA – The Indonesian Esports Council (PBESI) has officially announced the Valorant and CrossFire rosters for the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. PBESI believes that Indonesia can win a gold medal at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
Before officially announcing the names of the athletes on the Valorant and CrossFire rosters to appear at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, PBESI conducted a national selection (seleknas). After carrying out several stages, finally PBESI has got Indonesia’s best athletes to compete in the biennial event.
PBESI has also selected seven players to defend the Indonesian national team (Timnas) in esports, Valorant. They are Sheldon Andersen Chandra (NcSlasher), Oliver Budi Wangge (M0rea) and Willy Ivandra (Sayoo) who come from Bigetron Arctic.
Then, Delbert Tanoto (DelB) and Bryan Carlos Setiawan (Kush) who are defending Alter Ego. Then there is the Indonesian FPS veteran duo who have experience and achievements at the Southeast Asian level, namely Nanda Rizana (Asteriskk) and Kevin Gunawan (Eeyore).
Meanwhile, PBESI appointed Baskoro Dwi Putra (Roseau) to coach Valorant Indonesia for the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. He will be assisted by Iqbal Mauldhan Yusup (Kylooshka) and Muhammad Rafi Diandra (Frostmid), as assistant coaches.
Meanwhile, for the CrossFire Indonesia roster, PBESI chose Kautsar Faruqrrohman Ekatama (KF), Ivan Supardi (EV9), Samuel Santosa (Firezs), Muhammad Andrian Setiawan (Adrnj), Jason Andrian (Shoock) and Ridho Putra Muhharam (Mierr).
Then, Andrew Joseph will serve as coach of CrossFire Indonesia at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. Andrew will be assisted by his two assistants, namely Chirtian Indra Sudarsana and Deer Alviano.
PBESI seems confident with the CrossFire roster to get the SEA Games gold medal this time. The reason is that at the 2021 SEA Games, Indonesia was only able to bring home a bronze medal after being defeated by the Philippines with a score of 0-3 in the Upper Bracket.
