FERGANA – Muhammad Ferarri does not feel that the physical condition of the Indonesian U-20 national team (Timnas) players will be a problem at the 2023 U-20 World Cup. This is because Garuda Nusantara has the advantage of speed.

Indonesia U-20 must be eliminated from the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup because they failed to win against Uzbekistan U-20 in the closing match of Group A. No goals were created for 90 minutes.

Shin Tae-yong’s fleet drew 0-0 at the Istiqlol Stadium, Fergana, Tuesday (7/3/2023). As a result, the Red and White team had to place third in the final standings of Group A with 4 points.

Ferarri admitted that he was quite disappointed because Indonesia U-20 failed to advance to the quarter-finals. However, he was reluctant to lament too much and chose to look at the 2023 U-20 World Cup.

It’s just that there are still a number of weaknesses seen in the U-20 Indonesian camp. One of them is the physical posture that was clearly seen against Uzbekistan U-20.

Ferrari said the failure at the U-20 Asian Cup was a valuable lesson. That is why Indonesia U-20 will try to do even better at the 2023 U-20 World Cup.

“I and the players will probably learn from the shortcomings that appeared in this event, including physical problems,” he explained.

“However, it looks like we were able to control the game in this match,” Ferarri continued in a press conference.

The Persija Jakarta player said that Indonesia U-20 also had an advantage, namely the speed of the players. That will be the main capital in the U-20 World Cup later.
