SOLO – Indonesian U-20 national team (Timnas) player Zanadin Fariz had to rest for eight months. That is so that he can fully recover from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear injury.
Zanadin was injured during training with Indonesia U-20 ahead of the inaugural Group A match of the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup against Iraq U-20. Based on the MRI, he was diagnosed with ACL and sent back to Indonesia
According to the Persis Solo page, the 18 year old talent returned to Indonesia for further treatment. This is so that the injury does not get worse.
“Returned back to Indonesia to undergo surgery and rehabilitation for 8 months,” the statement on the website.
Persis manager, Erwin Widianto, said that his party continues to provide support to Zanadin. That’s so he can immediately return to show his best action on the gridiron.
“We are concerned about Zanadin’s condition, of course. Persis will always support him. Because of this injury, he may have to step aside from the gridiron for several months until he recovers,” explained Erwin.
Erwin said the most important thing was maintaining Zanadin’s mental state. This is so that he remains enthusiastic about undergoing recovery.
“The most important thing is that we take care of his mental state and have to focus on recovering from injuries,” he concluded.
