The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Energy and Mineral Resources) plans to distribute around 680 thousand rice cookers for free. The costs that will be disbursed by the state are around IDR 300 billion.
Regarding this plan, former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries from the 2014-2019 Working Cabinet Susi Pudjiastuti, proposed other things that are much more beneficial for the people.
Based on tweets on his Twitter account @susipudjiastuti, he gave input to the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani to change the budget into an educational building.
“Dear mother, please ask them to turn it into 30 school buildings with 6 new classrooms. Many school buildings are in very poor condition,” said Susi quoted on Thursday, (1/12/2022).

One suggestion is not enough, Susi also offers other options.
“Or free thousands of electricity bills for one year. So they can use their money for other things,” asked Susi.
Previously, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources planned to distribute around 680 thousand rice cookers for free. The Sub-Coordinator of Facilitation of Electricity Business Commercial Relations, Directorate of Electricity Business Development, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Edy Pratiknyo revealed that this program is still being discussed and discussed with a number of parties.
“This is still in the discussion stage and has not yet been published for e-cooking assistance or electric rice cookers,” said Edy in a discussion in Jakarta, Friday (25/11/2022).
He mentioned that later each beneficiary family (KPM) will receive 1 unit of rice cooker from the government with a value of approximately IDR 500,000 per KPM.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati apparently has not approved the plan of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to distribute around 680 thousand free electric rice cookers to the public.
“It has not been approved by the Ministry of Finance,” said Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Dadan Kusdiana when met at the Mulia Hotel, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (29/11/2022).
“Rp 300 billion has been procured, but until now there is no budget, the proposal is still being discussed at Commission VII DPR RI,” he added.
