PRIVATE VOCATIONAL – The case of a riot incident that killed more than 100 people after the Arema FC match against Persebaya at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang on Saturday (1/10/2022) was raised to be an investigation.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General of Police Dedi Prasetyo, said that this case was raised to become an investigation based on instructions from the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
He continued, the National Police Chief requested that the riot incident case be handled immediately. Of course, with accuracy and prudence and put forward scientific evidence.
“In accordance with the President’s order, the National Police Chief ordered the team to work quickly, but the elements of carefulness and scientific evidence are also the standard for this team to work,” he said, Monday (3/10/2022).

In addition, the National Police has also examined as many as 20 witnesses related to this case and conducted a case title.
“The results of the case title increase the status of the investigation, now its status is an investigation, the team will also work in a marathon,” he said, as reported by PMJNews.com.
Dedi added that as many as 28 Polri personnel had also been examined by Propam regarding alleged violations of the code of ethics. As of now, the investigation is still ongoing.
“Tonight, 28 Polri personnel have also investigated alleged violations of the code of ethics of Polri members. This is still in the process of being investigated,” he said.
Previously, in the aftermath of this case, AKBP Ferli Hidayat was officially removed as Malang Police Chief. His successor is AKBP Putu Kholis Aryana.
