Indonesian national team star Marc Klok has the ambition to bring the Garuda Squad back to victory against Curacao/foto/PSSI
Indonesian National team managed to win over Curacao on the first matchday which took place at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), last Saturday (24/9/2022). Appearing in front of the public itself, the Garuda Squad won with a narrow score of 3-2.

Indonesia’s three winning goals were scored by Marc Klok in the 17th minute, Fachrudin Aryanto (22′), and Dimas Drajad (56′). While Curacao’s two goals were contributed by Rangelo (7′) and Juninho (24′). Klok is addicted to winning and is determined to bring the Indonesian national team back to victory over Curacao.

“I want to win again for sure. Every time I play I just want to win,” said Klok, quoted from the PSSI TV Youtube channel, Monday (26/9/2022).
On the other hand, the Persib Bandung player was very happy to have scored on the first matchday against Curacao. Because, it was Klok’s first goal at the GBLA Stadium which is the headquarters of Maung Bandung – Persib’s nickname.
“The goal in GBLA is my first goal here. But the most important thing is to win against a good country, we take important points in the FIFA rankings and are also very proud to win with the national team at home,” he said.
For your information, the victory over Curacao on the first matchday made Indonesia move up three places with an additional 7.41 points. If previously the Garuda Squad was ranked 156 in the FIFA rankings, now they are at number 153.
As for Curacao, the defeat made their ranking slump. Now, Remko Bicentini’s polished team is in position 83 in the FIFA rankings from the previous one at 84.
