Drama Korea Squid Game made history at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards taking place Sunday (4/9) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Lee Yoo Mi who is a supporting actress for this drama won the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series award for her appearance in the episode Gganbu.
This achievement makes Lee Yoo Mi the first Korean actress to win this nomination.

I’m grateful to the Emmy Awards, and I love Netflix, who has always been by my side, and I also love my agency VARO Entertainment. I’m so happy! Thank you! thank you again,” said Lee Yoo Mi after receiving the award quoted from Soompi, Monday (5/9).
Not only Lee Yoo Mi, drama Squid Game also received awards for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode, Outstanding Stunt Performance, and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour or More).
Meanwhile, Squid Game is also a nominee at the 74th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards which will take place on 12 September.
The drama, directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk, received nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Lee Jung Jae), Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Jung Ho Yeon), and Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Park Hae Soo and Oh Young Soo).
