Suara.com – After receiving a bonus worth Rp. 1 billion from President Joko Widodo and Rp. 1.385 billion from PSSI after winning the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup, the U-16 Indonesian National Team again received a prize of Rp. 1 billion for a similar reason, this time from state-owned bank BRI.
Quoted from the PSSI page in Jakarta, Saturday (20/8/2022), the bonus was given directly by the President Director of BRI Sunarso in Jakarta.
“Hopefully the Indonesian U-16 national team will continue to excel and be consistent. We hope that they will become the next generation of a strong Indonesian national team later,” said Sunarso.
The U-16 national team received this appreciation through the Bima Sakti coach and the captain Muhammad Iqbal Gwijangge.

Several PSSI officials such as Deputy Secretary General Maaike Ira Puspita, Technical Director Indra Sjafri, U-16 National Team Manager Endri Erawan and Head of the Medical Team Syarif Alwi.
The coach of the Indonesian U-16 national team, Bima Sakti, also thanked BRI for the bonus.
Bima promised to continue to escort his players in order to maintain their performance.
“Currently the players have returned to their respective clubs or regions. We will monitor their progress and hopefully, when they regroup, there will be no problems with their condition,” said the 46-year-old man.
The U-16 Indonesian national team won the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup after defeating Vietnam 1-0 in the final match at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday (12/8/2022). It was Indonesia’s second title at the tournament after 2018.
