That way, Haaland carved out two slick records after scoring a brace on his debut in the Premier League this season. One of them, the 22-year-old became the second Manchester City player to score a brace after Sergio Aguero in his debut match in 2011.
In addition, Haaland also became the second debutant in Premier League history to score a goal from a penalty kick. Previously, the record was held by Alexandre Pato when he defended Chelsea against Aston Villa in 2016.

After recording that slick record, Haaland admitted that Manchester City had a number of great players. Even so, the former Borussia Dortmund striker claims his team will continue to improve.
“I’m surrounded by amazing players and we (Manchester City) had to build (strength) today,” said Haaland, quoted from the Manchester Evening News, Wednesday (10/8/2022).
On the other hand, Haaland is optimistic that Manchester City will be the best team in the 2022-2023 season. Because, The Citizen has also started this season well. He will also maintain his physical fitness.
“We (Manchester City) are going to be even better this season and we have to be fit for everything. This is a good start,” said Haaland.
“There were some good balls or goals and here’s more to come. When we train a lot in training, we have to do it in the game and we scored some good goals today (on Sunday).”
