Metro, Suara.com- Regional Secretary of Lampung Province, Fahrizal Darminto, represented by Assistant for Economics and Development, Kusnardi chaired the Coordination Meeting for the Implementation of Handling Mouth and Nail Diseases in Lampung Province in a Hybrid manner in the Command Center Room, Lt II, Discominfotik Building, Lampung Province, Tuesday (09/08/2022).
Head of the Livestock and Animal Health Service Office of Lampung Province, Ir. Lili Mawarti, M.Si, explained the steps that have been taken by the Lampung Provincial Government in dealing with Mouth and Nail Diseases that attack livestock.
Among other things, the Government has held coordination meetings both online and offline with the Central Government or the Government in the Regency/City area.
Furthermore, the Lampung Provincial Government has also issued a Circular Letter from the Governor of Lampung Province regarding the prevention of FMD in livestock and the rules for controlling the traffic of animals and animal products in Lampung Province.

“The Lampung Provincial Government has also formed a PMK Task Force Team and Quick Response Unit, PMK Control Post and PMK Call Center at the Provincial and Regency City levels,” Lili Mawarti.
The Lampung Provincial Government has also asked the Minister of Agriculture to give Lampung an allocation and priority for vaccines. Lampung Province itself has received an allocation of 138,000 doses of PMK Vaccine in three stages of delivery from the Ministry of Agriculture and has been distributed to 15 regencies/cities.
In addition, the Lampung Provincial Government has also been and continues to distribute medicines, disinfectants and FMD control facilities from various stakeholders to livestock owners in Lampung Province.
In addition to these discussions, the meeting also discussed the current situation of the spread of FMD in Lampung Province, where there were 91 livestock infected with FMD in Lampung Province, 1530 Livestock recovered from FMD in Lampung Province. Livestock deaths in FMD cases in Lampung Province were 32 heads, forced slaughter of 76 cattle infected with FMD in Lampung Province and 103,307 cattle had been successfully vaccinated in Lampung Province.
