“That way, I officially close the 2022 ASEAN Para Games,” said President Jokowi in his remarks.
“See you at the XII ASEAN Para Games in 2023 in Cambodia,” said Jokowi.

The closing ceremony of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games began with the appearance of music and local Indonesian cultures. After that, there were remarks from the executives concerned, which were then officially closed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
After the series of events, the ASEAN Para Games flag was lowered to be handed over to the next host. The chairman of INASPOC, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, officially handed over the flag to the Secretary General of the Cambodian NPC, Yi Veasna.

After officially handing over the flag as a sign of the official transfer of the host, the event continued with a creative performance of Cambodian culture. Seen, the Cambodian artists performed loosely in front of the audience.
Various Cambodian cultures were displayed on the occasion. This performance of Cambodian culture managed to invite admiration and applause from the audience who attended the closing ceremony of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games.
On the other hand, Cambodia itself will host the 2023 ASEAN Para Games. The next disabled sporting event will take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 3-9 June 2023.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian contingent itself managed to become the overall champion of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games. In total, the Indonesian contingent won 175 gold medals, 144 silver medals, and 106 bronze medals.
