The party from the North London club was opened by Gabriel Martinelli’s goal in the 20th minute. Arsenal then completed the victory with a Marc Guehi own goal in the 85th minute.
Arteta admits this win is very important. Because, he considers getting full points at Selhurst Park is always difficult to do, especially with two goals without reply.
“It’s a good win. The game is very difficult, because they are a good team and create an atmosphere here. They cause a lot of problems and we had that last season,” said Arteta.
Even so, Arteta admitted that he was a little disappointed that he only won 2-0. The reason is, he feels Arsenal should be able to maximize the 10 opportunities they get.
“The disappointing thing is that we didn’t score more goals. Because we had a lot of chances and became a real threat,” said Arteta.
