Absent in Juventus’ opening match, Allegri hopes Pogba will recover soon

TURIN – Paul Pogba came to Jubventus this season with an injury. The former Manchester United striker missed the opening match The old lady in the Italian Serie A 2022/2023 against Sassuolo at Juventus Stadium, Tuesday (16/8/2022).

Trainer Juventus Massimiliano Allegri wishes Pogba a speedy recovery. The French national team star has injured the lateral meniscus in his right knee.

Allegri said the 29-year-old was being treated intensively by the medical team. Therefore, he is still waiting for further news.

“There will be treatment for these five weeks. We hope he can return as soon as possible,” said Massimiliano Allegri as quoted by Football Italia, Friday (5/8/2022).

He said he did not know if the player’s injury would recur or not after he recovered. The reason is, he does not understand the problem because it is not his field.

“I’m not a medic. So I don’t know what’s best, I just believe what I say,” Allegri said when asked if this put Pogba at risk of a relapse.

Massimiliano Allegri said he was very happy his team could sign Pogba in the summer transfer window. Because, Pogba’s character is needed by Juventus for the 2022-2023 season.

“We brought Pogba and Angel Di Maria, so I would call it a very good transfer season. It is a competitive squad, even if we have Pogba’s unexpected development,” he said.
