Suara.com – Chelsea are reportedly close to securing the services of wing-back Marc Cucurella from Brighton in the transfer market this summer.
Reported by the well-known British media Sky Sports, Thursday (4/8/2022), Cheslea in principle has agreed to pay more than 50 million pounds to Brighton in order to bring Cucurella, but negotiations between the two clubs have not been completed until now.
Brighton previously set a price of 59 million euros or around Rp907 billion for Cucurella, who still has a contract at the Amex Stadium until June 30, 2026.
Last season’s Premier League champions Manchester City had previously made an offer of 35 million euros (around Rp544 billion) for Cucurella, but Brighton refused to accept the offer and ended talks with the Citizens after several weeks of negotiations.

The price that is priced by Brighton is reluctant to be met by Manchester City, making Chelsea the sole enthusiast of Cucurella.
Chelsea’s decision to try to bring Cucurella is inseparable from the unclear future of full-back Marcos Alonso, who this summer has often been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona.
Apart from Marcos Alonso, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has also been linked with Barcelona, especially since the Spaniard only has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea assess Cucurella to be one of the players who are suitable to occupy the position of Alonso and Azpilicueta if both really leave this summer.
The former Getafe player is now one of the best left-backs to attract the attention of many people in the Premier League after last season’s impressive performances with Brighton.
