Suara.com – Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur inaugurated the arrival of defender Clement Lenglet from Barcelona on loan in the player transfer market this summer.
Quoted by Antara from Sky Sports, Saturday, Tottenham loaned Lenglet for a full season and the French player is reportedly willing to take a pay cut from the one he previously received at Barcelona.
Lenglet is coach Antonio Conte’s fifth signing of the transfer window after securing the services of winger Ivan Perisic, goalkeeper Fraser Forster, midfielder Yves Bissouma and striker Richarlison.
Lenglet will join Tottenham’s squad for their pre-season tour of South Korea today and it is hoped that the arrival of the 27-year-old can add strength to the Lilywhites’ back line.

Previously, apart from Lenglet, Tottenham were reportedly eyeing other defenders such as Pau Torres, Alessandro Bastonio and Josko Gvardiol, but the first two names are likely to be hard to find.
Last season, Lenglet appeared in 27 Barcelona matches in various competitions and made one assist from a total of 1,235 minutes played. He recorded more inhabit the bench and played as a substitute last season.
Signed from Sevilla in 2018, Lenglet has made 159 appearances in various competitions for Barcelona and contributed 7 goals and 3 assists from a total of 11,915 minutes played. In addition, the 27-year-old player also contributed one Spanish League title, King’s Cup and Spanish Super Cup to the Blaugrana.
