The platform was approved by 5,100 delegates in Houston on Saturday last week. They called for a ban on the establishment of a Palestinian State within Israel’s historical borders on the grounds that it would jeopardize Israel’s security.
The platform would also force the current Israeli government to cede “God-given land” to the Jewish people, an argument that references the Bible on Genesis.
While the idea of a Greater Israel State referred to in the platform of the Republican Party or Grand of Party (GOP) is an extended state, which is dominated by ethnic-Jewish nationalists, to every inch of the Historic Palestine territory.
Party platforms do not necessarily shape the policies of the American government even when one party controls all branches, as the Republicans do in Texas.
The platform convention is dominated by activists who often risk positions that are more extreme than the average voter.

The Republican Party is hugely popular with Republicans across the state of Texas, but the platform has made headlines because its position signals how far the party has shifted.
Among other positions, the platform proposed a referendum on secession from the United States; rejected Joe Biden’s presidency; calling for the repeal of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
