Adam Deni was sentenced to 4 years in prison by a panel of judges at the North Newsdelivers.com District Court, on Tuesday (28/6) for a violation of the ITE Law reported by the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Ahmad Sahroni.
In addition to the prison sentence, Adam Deni was also fined Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary of 5 months.
“If you understand, both of you have the right to accept that you can think about it for 7 days starting tomorrow, or state other legal remedies, please consult your respective legal advisers. The same rights as the public prosecutor, we welcome,” said judge Rudi at the North Newsdelivers.com District Court, Jalan Sawah Besar, Central Newsdelivers.com, Tuesday (28/6/2022).
After the verdict was stated, Adam Deni consulted with his attorney and immediately made a quick move to file an appeal.
“Noble appeal,” Adam Deni said aloud.
In line with Adam Deni, Ni Made Dwita, who is also another defendant, agreed to file an appeal.
“Is it Made? Is it the same?” Judge Rudi asked.
“Yes,” replied Ni Made.
Adam Deni and Ni Made were found guilty of violating Article 48 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph 3 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions as amended and added to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Laws Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the 1st Criminal Code.
