In the transfer market last summer, Chelsea decided to sign Lukaku from Inter for IDR 1.9 trillion. This amount also made a record as the most expensive purchase in the history of the London club.
Unfortunately during one season at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku in fact it is difficult to show his sharpness as he did with Inter. From 44 matches in all competitions, the Belgian national team player can only record 15 goals and two assists.

Seeing the less impressive report card, Lukaku was also rumored to be returning to Inter next season. The club nicknamed the Nerazzurri is also said to be planning to repatriate the goal-hungry bomber on loan for one season.
“I’m not sure that Lukaku will return (to Inter), I think he will choose a different club,” said Francesco Totti.

Even so, Totti feels it will have a good influence for Inter to fight for the Scudetto again next season. But he feels Inter still don’t have the right partner for Lukaku.
“It’s a very honorable decision, Inter and Simone Inzaghi will be very happy. Physically, Lukaku is a dominant presence in Italy, but I don’t know who his attacking partners are.”
