Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties 6-5 after 120 matches ended in a 0-0 draw at Wembley Stadium, London. Liverpool’s success as champions is like repeating the English League Cup final, where Liverpool also beat Chelsea on penalties (11-10).

One of the keys to Liverpool’s victory was the Reds goalkeeper, Alisson Becker. He successfully blocked Mason Mount’s penalty kick. Alisson regretted that his team failed to score in normal time.
“So fabulous. We put in a good performance. It’s a shame we didn’t score. A real fight and we kept a clean sheet,” said Alisson.

Alisson was delighted to have saved Chelsea’s one last shot. He feels this victory can be achieved, thanks to the hard work of other Liverpool players who also scored.
“We were outstanding and scored a goal. I only had to save one last shot. I am very happy. Me and (Edouard) Mendy (Chelsea goalkeeper) made good saves. I couldn’t have done it without the team’s help. They make my job easier,” he said.
This success is also a positive capital to face the Premier League and the Champions League final. Incidentally, Liverpool still have a chance in these two events.
“This win gives us more confidence in the Premier League and in the Champions League final. This is a great moment and we will enjoy it,” said Alisson.
