The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the presence of the dangerous enemy ships.
“In the Odesa Territory, the situation is stable and under control. The grouping of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea has not changed significantly, posing the threat of missile strikes. There is also hostile activity around Zmiinyi Island,” Southern Operations Command spokesman Vladyslav Nazarov said on Telegram. UKrinformSaturday (14/5/2022).
According to him, Russia has created an offensive base on Zmiinyi Island and is trying to destabilize the situation in Transnistria.

In his words, enemy forces continue to promote provocations in Transnistria.
“There was an attempt to burn the military commissariat in Tiraspol and a fake attack on the oil depot. Shaking the situation should create a basis for accusing Ukraine of encroaching on the territory of the self-proclaimed republic,” Nazarov said.
According to Nazarov, there are now four Russian warships and two submarines in the Black Sea, which carry more than 30 Kalibr missiles. This, he continued, poses a threat of missile attacks against the entire territory of Ukraine.
In addition, according to data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the enemy is still planning to deploy the Pantsir air defense missile system and the Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system on Zmiinyi Island.
The Russian military has yet to confirm the deployment of its six military vessels to the Black Sea. However, Moscow during its invasion had fired several Kalibr cruise missiles which inflicted a lot of damage on Ukraine.
