Suara.com – The Indonesian contingent is still stuck in third place in the 2021 SEA Games medal standings despite getting two gold medals from the kickboxing branch tonight, Friday (13/5/2022) WIB.
Two Indonesian kickboxing athletes, Diandra Ariesta Pieter and Amanda La Loupatty, managed to donate gold, while Salmri Stendra Pattisamallo won the silver medal.
Amanda La Loupatty won the gold medal in the women’s kickboxing category Low Kick in the 52 kg class by defeating the Filipino athlete Claudine Veloso Decena with a score of 3-0.
Diandra Ariesta Pieter also contributed a gold medal after defeating Filipino athlete Gretel De Paz Cordero with a score of 3-0 in the women’s category Full Contact in the 56 kg class.

On the other hand, Salmari Stendra Pattisamallo had to be content with winning the silver medal after losing to the host athlete from Vietnam, Mr. Huynh Van, with a score of 3-0 in the final in the 51 kg Men’s Full Contact category.
Overall, Indonesia today was able to secure four gold, four silver and one bronze medals from the rowing, wushu and kickboxing sports.
On the other hand, the host Vietnam remains firmly at the top of the standings with a total of 53 medals consisting of 24 gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze.
Since this afternoon at 13.00 WIB, it means that Vietnam has added a total of 17 medals with details of 9 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze.
Malaysia is still in second place with a total of 28 medals consisting of 11 gold, 5 silver and 12 bronze, while Indonesia is in third place with a total of 18 medals with details of 7 gold, 9 silver and 2 bronze.
