Umuh Muchtar said that he was haunted by feelings of fear when Persib faced off against Borneo FC. Luckily in the 2021-2022 League 1 continued match, Tuesday (18/1/2022), Persib won with a narrow score of 1-0.
During a duel Persib versus Borneo FC, Umuh is at the stadium. Even though he is no longer the team manager, he continues to accompany the team in his capacity as a club official.

“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful, if I lose, I am here (accompaniing the team), I also have a sense of shame (if Persib loses). Maybe people mock (Persib lose because) ‘there are umuh, there are umuh, lose’, like that right,” said Umuh, Thursday (20/1/2022).
Umuh admits that he often gets slanted accusations, ranging from being considered to be often managing coaches, being authoritarian, regulating the entry and exit of players, and various other negative views. So, there is a certain sense of worry when Persib reap minor results when competing.
However, his worries were unfounded. That’s because Persib was able to complete the duel against Borneo FC with a win. Even though they won only 1-0 and the game was less than convincing, they are still grateful.
