Suara.com – Since the emergence of the Covid-19 corona virus in early 2020 and until now, new variants of the corona virus have continued to appear repeatedly, ranging from the Delta, Alpha, Beta variants to the Omicron variant.
Now, the appearance of the Omicron variant is wreaking havoc all over the world. Scientists warn of the emergence of a new threat called Delmicron among the Omicron variants.
Reports suggest that the increase in the number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the west was caused by a combination of the Delta variant and the Omicron variant, hence the name Delmicron.
However, it is yet to be seen whether a new wave of infections will be worse than the Omicron impact or could pose more harm to those most vulnerable.

Unlike other attention and interest variants, Delmicron is not a new variant of the Covid-19 corona virus. In medical terms, Delmicron has been referred to as a combination of the Delta variant and the Omicron variant.
Dr Shashank Joshi, a member of Maharashtra’s COVID-19 task force, said Delmicron had caused a spike in cases across the US and Europe.
But quoted from Times of India, this is not a new variant of the corona virus, but a combination of the Delta variant and the Omicron variant.
Although no statement has been made by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) or India’s national Covid-19 task force about Delmicron’s whereabouts so far, the increase in the number of coronavirus cases has sparked fears.
Delmicron infection occurs when a person is coinfected with the Delta variant and the Omicron variant. This can happen in the form of reinfection, which is a possibility for people who fail to comply with health protocols.

So far, no specific Delmicron symptoms have been revealed. Symptoms of the Covid-19 coronavirus have remained pretty much the same so far, including fever, fatigue, cough, and loss of sense of smell and taste.
In patients with the Omicron variant, they may experience cold-like symptoms such as an itchy throat, sneezing, low temperature and extreme body aches.
Adults, children and older adults, everyone is susceptible to infection with the Covid-19 coronavirus. Because the corona virus is highly contagious, everyone has the same potential to be infected with the virus.
However, people who are elderly and have pre-existing health conditions or compromised immunity are at greater risk of infection and higher severity.
In this condition, high-risk groups need to be more careful and those around them should take all precautions.
Due to the emergence of Delmicron, many health experts advise against believing rumors related to the same.
You can wear a mask, practice social distancing and maintain hand hygiene as a precaution.
Covid-19 vaccine efforts also need to be increased so that most of the population is protected and forms herd immunity.
