As is known, the 20-time grand slam champion previously tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from Abu Dhabi on Monday, December 20, 2021. However, his latest post on Instagram confirms that he has recovered.
This was reinforced by uploading a photo of Nadal on his Instagram account. The presence of the 35-year-old tennis player is certainly good news for his fans.
Because, Nadal has the opportunity to surpass the record 20 times Grand Slam titles. He has the possibility to surpass the record of his rival, Novak Djokovic, who we know both have the same number of titles.
Meanwhile, Djokovic’s situation in participating in the 2022 Australian Open is still a question mark. Because, he refuses to confirm whether he has been vaccinated Covid-19 . Moreover, the Serbian tennis player also withdrew from the ATP Cup team tournament.
So, if Djokovic doesn’t appear at the 2022 Australian Open, Nadal has a pretty big chance of being able to add to his Grand Slam title. The Australian Open 2022 is scheduled for 17-30 January 2022 in Melbourne.
