Cheng Hoe believes De Paula’s abilities are growing every day. He believes the 35-year-old is maturing and will soon be able to get out of the pressure of having struggled to score goals.
“As a coach, I think I can handle that. Of course he (De Paula) has given his best in training and has shown a lot of commitment,” said Cheng Hoe, quoted from Bernama, Tuesday (7/12/2021).

“Sometimes because he’s frustrated he can’t score. I think now he is more mature to be able to handle the situation, “added the 53-year-old coach.
Cheng Hoe also believes that De Paula has good abilities in the next match. The Johor Darul Ta’zim player is also believed to be an example for other Malaysian national team players.
“I hope he can be a source of motivation for the whole team and set a good example for them. I’m very confident that he will be ready for the next match.”
