Suara.com – Director General (Dirjen) of Human Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Diana Kusumastuti when inspecting the construction of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) Mosque in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java, Saturday (4/12/2021).
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Human Settlements has carried out the construction of phase II of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) Campus.
The construction of the second phase of the UIII Campus includes an 8-storey central library building with an area of 16,556 square meters, with a capacity of up to 1,000 people and a 2-storey Campus Mosque with an area of 5,002 square meters, with a capacity for 1,880 worshippers.
The campus, which was built on an area of 142.5 hectares, is designed as a future campus for the study and research of Islamic civilization in Indonesia, considering that Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world.
In addition, the Directorate General of Human Settlements also rehabilitated a 240-year-old colonial heritage building in the Cimanggis area, commonly called the Cimanggis House, and is now officially a cultural heritage. [Suara.com/Alfian Winanto]
