Yes, boxing lovers in the world are generally spoiled with the appearance of girls in sexy clothes waddling between rounds. Now things are different in boxing in PON XX Papua 2020.
This was suggested directly by the Executive Board of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina). They will prepare five round girls, native Papuan women who wear traditional clothes while carrying the round board in this sport.

The five daughters are Norce Bonay, Tripena Apaseray, Adonia Inggirik, Marike Tukayo, and Aprilia Awinero. Especially for Aprilia, she is a former boxing athlete who recently graduated from SMA Negeri Special for Sports (SMANKOR), Buper, Waena.
According to a report on the official page of the PON XX Papua 2021, Tuesday (28/9/2021), the five women will wear clothes in the form of a bird of paradise hat, tassels, face, hands and feet painted white and other traditional decorations. This different appearance from the usual aims to increase the attractiveness of the sport of boxing in PON XX Papua this.
In addition, Papua’s regional characteristics remain embedded and sustainable in sports. The Match Coordinator, Refereeing and Responsible for Discipline of the XX Papua PON 2021 Boxing Sports, Alfred Kayoi admitted that he had trained the round girls. He also prepared the best possible detail in it.

“We have taught and taught round girls to carry out their duties properly and perfectly. We will do that, because the interesting thing is that a boxing match is in the girls’ round,” said Alfred.
