Indonesian Women’s National Team Qualifies for the Asian Cup Finals, Chairman of PSSI: Alhamdulillah

DUSHANBE – Chairman of PSSI Mochamad Iriawan appreciate the success of the Indonesian Women’s National Team in qualifying for the final round of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 after defeating Singapore with a score of 1-0 in the second leg match (2-0 aggregate) at Republican Central Stadium, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Monday (27/9/2021) . The only goal was scored by Octavianti Dwi Nurmalita.

Iriawan also expressed his gratitude for the struggle shown by the Indonesian Women’s National Team. He was also very grateful for these results because Indonesia finally succeeded in reaching the final round since 32 years ago.

“Alhamdulillah, we have qualified for the finals of the Women’s Asian Cup after the last time was in 1989. Thank you for the struggle of the women’s national team players and officials,” said PSSI’s Ketum quoted from PSSI’s official website, Tuesday (28/9/2021).

In addition, Chief PSSI also appreciate the full support given by the Indonesian government. She hopes that the Indonesian Women’s National Team can again show their best abilities at the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup India.

“Thank you to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Joko Widodo and the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Zainudin Amali for their support so that this team can go and compete in Tajikistan,” he concluded.

“We hope that this team can compete in the 2022 Women’s Asian Cup. PSSI will of course fully support the women’s national team program for achievement,” concluded Mochamad Iriawan.
