After the match, Brian Yang gave a relaxed response about his victory over Jojo. According to him, he only played loose throughout the match because he himself had no idea of winning the match against the world number seven player.
“I didn’t get a lot of pressure because I had nothing to lose, he’s in the top 10 in the world and I was expected to lose,” said Brian Yang, via the BWF’s official website, Tuesday (28/9/2021).
Furthermore, Brian Yang admitted that he enjoyed the match against Jojo. He added that playing against the top 10 badminton players in the world has a very meaningful experience to add to his flying hours on the field.
“I’m happy to be able to continue playing longer because I want to enjoy playing with these world-class players. I’m just trying to gain experience and don’t put my hopes on myself.”
