Taking place at the Energia Arena, Vantaa, Finland, Monday (27/9/2021) evening WIB, Brian Yang successfully showed his best performance. The Denmark Masters 2021 champion defeated Jonathan Christie through three tight games 9-21, 22-20 and 21-18.

After the match, Brian Yang gave a relaxed response about his victory over Jojo. According to him, he only played loose throughout the match because he himself had no idea of winning the match against the world number seven player.
“I didn’t get a lot of pressure because I had nothing to lose, he’s in the top 10 in the world and I was expected to lose,” said Brian Yang, via the BWF’s official website, Tuesday (28/9/2021).

Furthermore, Brian Yang admitted that he enjoyed the match against Jojo. He added that playing against the top 10 badminton players in the world has a very meaningful experience to add to his flying hours on the field.
“I’m happy to be able to continue playing longer because I want to enjoy playing with these world-class players. I’m just trying to gain experience and don’t put my hopes on myself.”
Even so, Indonesia secured victory on the second day of the 2021 Sudirman Cup Group C elimination after beating Canada 3-2. The victory was confirmed by the mixed doubles pair, Rinov Rivaldy / Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s two other wins were contributed by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto’s men’s doubles and Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu’s women’s doubles.
Furthermore, in the final match of the 2021 Sudirman Cup Group C phase, Indonesia will face Denmark on Wednesday (29/9/2021) noon WIB. Then on the same day Canada will fight Russia.
