The drugs worth RM1.7 million or more than Rp5.7 billion are about to be “exported” to Indonesia.

The man was arrested by police on Sunday at 12.55 local time on a roadside near an illegal jetty in the Bagan Lipas Laut area of Rungkup near Bagan Datuk.
Perak Police Chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the Hilir Perak police narcotics criminal investigation department arrested the man with 29kg of drugs.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect purchased the drugs from a local distributor, and would then ‘export’ the drugs via boat at the illegal dock,” he said, as quoted by Reuters. The Star, Monday (27/9/2021).
“There will be another ‘pick-up’ ship in the middle of the sea where the goods will be collected and brought to Indonesia,” he told a press conference at Perak police headquarters.
Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash added that this is the first time the local state police have come across this modus operandi in drug smuggling.
