Newsdelivers.com – In the UN General Assembly, the issue of human rights violations in Papua was again highlighted by the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Bob Loughman. The moment that happened on Sunday, (26/9), was not the first time.
However, the accusation was denied by Indonesian diplomat, Sindy Nur Fitri. On that occasion, Sindy expressed her surprise because Vanuatu had made these accusations several times.
Meanwhile, Vanuatu is known to be silent when a number of residents, health workers, and officers are attacked by terrorist groups in Papua. “When a number of construction workers were brutally murdered, why did Vanuatu choose to remain silent?,” Sindy said firmly at the UN session.
Snippets of Sindy’s statement were also widely spread on social media. Not a few have appreciated his firmness in fending off Vanuatu’s accusations.
