Sudirman Cup 2021: Jonathan Christie Hopes To Play Against ROC Tonight

VANTAA – Jonatan Christie admits that he is ready to play in the opening match of Group C Sudirman Cup 2021 against the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), Sunday (26/9/2021). Based on the release received by MPI, the men’s singles coach Hendry Saputra Ho will determine who will appear by reflecting on the last performance of badminton.

In addition, Hendry also saw the record of meetings with opponents and the needs of the team. Even so, Jonatan claimed to be ready to give point by point in every match if trusted to appear.

“If appointed, of course I am ready to contribute figures for Indonesia,” said Jojo.

Jonatan is one of three men’s singles badminton brought to Finland. Besides him, there was Anthony Ginting, and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito.

The existence of the three men’s singles badminton players is expected to be able to bring home the Sudirman Cup trophy which has not been won since 1989. For your information, Indonesia is in Group C with ROC, Denmark and Canada.

After fighting ROC, Jonatan et al will play the second match of Group C elimination against Canada, Monday (27/9/2021). Meanwhile, in the final match, Indonesia will face Denmark on September 29.
