As a form of support, the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the Public Service Agency for Fund Management and Sports Business (BLU LPDUK) will disburse the Commitment Fee and Implementation Deposit budget of US$2.4 million or around Rp34.4 billion.
This was marked by renewing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Fund Management and Sports Business Development which had previously expired. The signing was carried out by the Acting Director of BLU LPDUK Kemenpora Firtian Judiswandarta and General Chairperson of PP Perbasi, Denny Kosasih in Jakarta.

“With the signing of this MoU, we have agreed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation as a form of effort to support the progress of the Indonesian sports industry, especially basketball,” said Acting Director of LPDUK, Firtian Judiswandarta in a press statement received by MNC Portal Indonesia, Saturday (25/9/). 2021).
This budget disbursement follows up on the Menpora’s directives referring to the results of the Cabinet Meeting on June 2, 2021 and the Presidential Instruction regarding the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup. Because it uses the government budget and the stipulation of laws and regulations (Perpres), FIBA Asia Cup 2021 commercial revenues include PNBP (Non-Tax State Revenue). ) whose management must go through LPDUK and can be used again by the Perbasi Committee/PP for the benefit of organizing events.
This MoU is an inseparable part of the preparation process for the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup, although it does not explicitly mention it because the MoU is still general in nature. In fact, it is also possible to form the basis for cooperation for the 2023 Basketball World Cup (FIBA World Cup 2023) in which Indonesia will also be the host.

Both parties agreed to use this MoU as the basis for making a cooperation agreement, the details of which will be agreed later. This MoU is valid for three years until 2024, can be added or extended.
