Newsdelivers.com – The Squid Game series is currently being talked about on social media. In a number of countries, Squid Game has successfully received attention from the public, including Indonesia. This Netflix watch even occupies the first position in the daily list of impressions on the platform.
If you’ve watched all the episodes of Hwang Dong-hyuk’s series, you know the storyline of this drama. Or maybe you are one of those people who are curious to try the phone number on the Squid Game business card.
In the first episode, Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) gets a business card from a mysterious man played by Gong Yoo. The card contains a phone number that can be contacted to participate in a challenging game.

But who would have thought if the number listed on the card was a real number that actually existed. As reported by Mstar, on Saturday (25/9), a man in South Korea was terrorized by thousands of calls from unknown numbers. The man is the owner of the phone number that aired in the drama Squid Game.
Generally in a drama or movie, the phone number is never shown or at least some of the numbers are blurred. But in the case of Squid Game, the number that is closed is the first three digits which is the area code.
Meanwhile, if eight digits are displayed without the area code number, the number can be dialed automatically if the caller is in the same area. That’s why the unidentified man received thousands of calls after the Squida Game aired.
“After Squid Game aired, I was receiving incessant calls and text messages, 24 hours a day seven days a week, to the point that I was having a hard time going about my day. This is a number I’ve been using for over 10 years, so I was really shocked, ” said this person quoted from Money Today, Saturday (25/9).
He added that there were more than 4,000 numbers that had to be removed from his call log. These people kept calling the number, even to not know the time.
“My cell phone battery drained and finally died. At first I didn’t know why, but my friend said my number appeared in Squid Game, and finally from here I realized,” he said.
As is known to spread personal information of a person to the public is a violation of the law. This omission could have fatal consequences for Netflix and the Siren Pictures production team.
Asked about the matter, Netflix representatives have made a statement that they will look into the matter and work to resolve it.
