After carrying out a series of social changes from allowing women to drive, opening cinemas to concerts by international musicians, the kingdom in the Arabian Gulf is now opening up dog cafe first. This last decision certainly pleases pet owners.
The Barking Lot cafe is the first dog cafe in Saudi Arabia. The cafe first opened in June last year, in the coastal city of Khobar. Now, a new branch of this cafe has opened in Riyadh.
At this cafe, dog owners can enjoy a cup of coffee with their beloved furry friend, an avid animal lover in a country where pets are generally banned from public places.
“I decided to create a place for pet owners where they can have the freedom to enjoy time with their dogs,” said cafe owner Dalal al-Sharhan.
“If you have dogs, you can’t go out into the streets or public parks to walk or have fun with them. It’s totally prohibited here and it’s against the law.” The National, Saturday (25/9/2021).

This Kuwaiti citizen then revealed the events that made him get the idea to open a dog cafe.
