“Giroud will be called up and he will play, but we need to decide whether he will play as a substitute or not,” Pioli said.
“Calabria will also be available in tomorrow’s game. Since the start of the season, we’ve only had two muscle injuries, Kessie and Krunic. Others suffer from muscle fatigue.”

However, Pioli also reported that Alessandro Florenzi had an injury and was unable to appear in the match. Florenzi extended the list of injured players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Simon Kjaer, Rade Krunic and Junior Messiah.
“Florenzi won’t be available because of his knee injury. He couldn’t train this morning (Friday), so I hope he can be ready on Tuesday (against Atletico Madrid). He’s not 100 per cent yet, but he’s an intelligent player, I’m counting on him a lot. I hope he will recover soon,” continued Pioli.
Even though AC Milan is in its best form, still the absence of its core players will affect the Rossoneri’s game. Moreover, they are currently undergoing a schedule that is on and will play an away match against Atletico Madrid in the 2021/2022 Champions League.
