Christopher will be paired with Aldila Sutjiadi at the biggest sporting event in the country this time. Judging from their track record, they are clearly the mainstay of East Java to win the gold medal in the mixed doubles.
“I am ready to play and present a gold medal for the East Java team. I am paired with Aldila Sutjiadi at PON Papua,” said Christopher Rungkat as quoted from the official website of PB PON XX Papua.
The East Java tennis team has just held a practice session at the Sian Soor venue at the Jayapura Mayor’s Office. In addition, there were also athletes from the West Java contingent who took part in this training session.
However, the practice session was interrupted by rain so he had to leave the practice arena. Not only athletes, coaches, management, and committee members also rushed to the stands to take cover while waiting for the rain to fall.
“The exercise went smoothly according to schedule, despite the rainy weather in Jayapura this afternoon,” said Christopher.
However, Christopher said that the natural and weather conditions in the city of Jayapura did not prevent him from showing his best game in the XX Papua PON event.
On the other hand, Christopher praised the facilities and infrastructure at the Sian Soor tennis court venue, because they were in accordance with international standards.
