According to the announcement posted on the site Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Kuala Lumpur, this temporary closure is carried out to improve service standards according to health protocol .
In its announcement, the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur asked Indonesian citizens (WNI) or Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who will take part in the recalibration program to return home.

“The Indonesian Embassy will continue to complete all registered SPLP applications until the end of December 2021,” reads an announcement on the website of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur which is monitored Sindonews.
The Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur also reminded the applicant for a passport replacement whose residence permit will expire soon to apply for a special pass to the Malaysian immigration authorities.
Meanwhile, passport/SPLP applicants who already have an arrival schedule at the time of temporary service closure, will be rescheduled which will be submitted by the Indonesian Embassy via SMS blast.

“For the collection of SPLP that has been completed and emergency services will still be served,” said the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
